The Chicago Herpetological Society is
arguably the most influential of the non-professional herpetological societies. They
not only hold monthly meetings and special events, but also issue a
monthly bulletin with articles by professionals, amateurs, and everyone in
between. Book reviews and herpetology in the news are regularly featured.
