Range: Tropical and sub-tropical coastal waters of northern Australia north to Japan; west to eastern Africa and India.

Diagnosis:

Description: Grows to 50 cm/ 1.9 feet.

Above, an adult clown triggerfish; below, a juvenile (40 mm).
