Range:
Eastern Asia, from eastern India to Borneo and
Singapore.
|
Diagnosis:
|
|
Description: Thin-bodied
lizards with a tail more than three times the snout-vent length. Body
covered in strongly keeled scales. Eyelids present, pupils round, ears
exposed and nearly as large as the eyes. Limbs thin, well-developed, and
pentadactyl with claws.
|
|
Natural History:
These gracile lizards are residents of tall
grasses, their incredibly long tails used as a counterbalance.
|
