Description:
This is an extremely variable snake, with
individuals being colored yellow, red, brown, green, or mottled.
|
|
Natural History:
These are tree vipers, rarely coming to the
round. As sit-and-wait predators, they lie coiled on branches and await
potential prey to come by. The venom easily overpowers small rodents and
young birds, and though dangerous to humans is not generally considered
especially dangerous.
