Range: The Solomon Islands, New Guinea, Moluccas,
and Australia's Cape York Peninsula.
|
|
Diagnosis:
A slender-bodied skink with small limbs that
do not meet hen adpressed. Differs from the only other species in the
genus (Eugongylus rufescens) in having a pointed (not blunt) snout
and more than 32 rows of scales around the midbody.
|
|
Description:
Grows to a snout-vent length of 16 cm / 6.25 inches.
